6th International Energy Conference - Meeting the Challenges of Energy Transition through multi-disciplinary Collaboration

Business Environment Council is pleased to be a supporting organisation of 6th International Energy Conference - Meeting the Challenges of Energy Transition through multi-disciplinary Collaboration organised by Energy Institute Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong

About the Event

The energy industry and indeed the society at large are facing rapid changes which in part are due to the transition in energy from a hydrocarbon based commodity to one which has diverse sources with increasing elements of sustainability. Furthermore, the ways in which we consume energy in our daily lives is changing rapidly with altering patterns of consumption which may no longer match the tradition concepts of supply.  Indeed our whole economy is inevitably moving towards a circular, sustainable economy driven by our changing lifestyle. We intend to explore not only how the energy supply industry is changing but also the changes in the ways the society is consuming energy and what we as energy professionals are doing to meet the challenges ahead. Regional, including cross-border and multi-disciplinary collaboration of the energy professionals are needed to achieve this goal.
