FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2019 and FuturArc Prize 2019

Business Environment Council is pleased to be a supporting organisation of FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2019 and FuturArc Prize 2019 organised by BCI Asia.

FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2019

Green projects — defined as new, restored, rehabilitated or converted — must be completed before 31 December 2018.
The projects must be located within Asia or Australia. Entries are invited in six categories:
  1. Residential – Individual Houses
  2. Residential – Multiple Houses
  3. Commercial
  4. Institutional
  5. Urban
  6. Socially-Inclusive Development
The competition is open to property developers (listed and non-listed); registered architects; and other professionals in the building and construction industry, and the award recognises the TEAM behind the completed project.
FuturArc Prize 2019
The 2019 cycle asks you to investigate what it means to live in a hyper-dense city in Asia, one with no less than 100,000 people per square kilometre.
Select a site within your city in Asia that is approximately 1km2 in size.
Redesign this to accommodate no less than 100,000 people, who must live and/or work here.
The total built-up area within this site should not be less than 2.5 million m2.
The redesigned neighbourhood must do the following:
  1. Produce energy, water and food
  2. Offer inclusive and accessible public space to all groups in the community
  3. Offer space to non-human species and perform ecosystem services
  4. Engage the wider city in positive and generous ways
