Innovation Summit: Transform and Protect Lives
Established in 1818 in London, the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is the first professional engineering body in the world. Since obtaining its Royal Charter in 1828, it has expanded considerably and now has more than 90,000 members across the world. ICE is celebrating its 200th birthday in 2018. “ICE 200” is about people, impact and the future. This high profile summit gathers together internationally reputed industry leaders and top-notch professionals to showcase their innovative work and ideas and share their insights on how the profession could champion the application of technology and innovations in shaping the future.
The Summit
The summit will feature a keynote presentation by the ICE 2018 President Professor Lord Robert Mair and be graced by our Guest of Honour, The Hon Mrs Carrie LAM CHENG Yuet-ngor,The Chief Executive of HKSAR, who was awarded The Institution’s Honorary Fellowship in 2013, and other renowned keynote and expert panel speakers, consolidating:
- Key innovations of the civil engineering profession
- Emerging major challenges
- The vision in terms of future infrastructure development needs
- The strategic direction and novel approaches to be adopted by the profession
Inspiring presentations will be delivered by leaders in the industry on best practice
and insights for future development. The presentations will be followed by expert
panel discussions.
