LIVE CPD Training - Case Sharing on BEAM Plus Platinum Projects by Housing Authority

Business Environment Council is pleased to be a supporting organisation of LIVE CPD Training - Case Sharing on BEAM Plus Platinum Projects by Housing Authority organised by BEAM Society Limited on 17 April 2018.

Having a housing stock of over 750,000 flats and serving about 30% of HK’s population, Hong Kong Housing Authority's (HA’s) standing practices to build sustainable homes and create harmonious communities along the core values of “Caring, Customerfocused, Creative and Committed” are signified by the passive design approach, modular flat design, BIM application, green specification, extensive prefabrication and construction. HA has clear road map on reducing carbon footprint from cradle to grave and go beyond the industry baseline in terms of (a) quality systems: ISO14001, ISO50001 (Hong Kong first), carbon and energy audits, community engagement; (b) pioneer R&D that gained wide recognition: micro-climate studies, GGBS, marine mud; zero irrigation system; Carbon Emission Estimation; Twin Tank System for potable and flushing water system, Two-stage Lighting System and EV charging system and (c) projects: BEAM-Plus-ready with large number of Platinum rated residential projects. In 2016, HA won the Green Leadership Award of the Green Building Award 2016 organized by HKGBC. The speaker will share HA’s experience in BEAM Plus Platinum rated projects in this CPD session.
