About the Event

Want to start urban farming in your office building, or to make our city greener? If so, the Rooftop Republic Academy is for you!

Drawing on the track record of award-winning urban farming social enterprise Rooftop Republic, the Academy provides an opportunity to learn about urban farming and to be part of the movement around creating sustainable and healthy living.

Starting 7th September, this in-depth programme will equip you with the knowledge to start and/or manage an urban farm, educational garden project, and to get on board the grow your own food movement!

Suitable for:

  • Individuals or companies working in the green building, real estate or property management sector who would like to learn more about how to incorporate urban farming into their daily operations.
  • Individuals who are interested in growing their own food, and starting an edible garden at home or at work.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the role and benefits of urban farming in Hong Kong.
  • Learn about the basic principles of organic farming and how they can be applied to an urban context like Hong Kong.
  • Learn basic knowledge and hands on experience to start and manage an urban farm.

English course:
Date: 7 September - 2 November 2019 (on Saturdays only)

Chinese couse:
Date: 27 October - 14 December 2019 (on Saturdays only)

Time: 9am - 5:30pm
