Business Environment Council is pleased to be a supporting organisation of BIM 2014 Project Clients Summit Development of BIM Implementation Strategies that organised by Construction Industry Council.

About the Summit

The adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is becoming a global trend amongst the construction industry. It is a new way to manage construction projects, from planning to design, construction and operations. BIM enables better control of the construction process and enhances cross-disciplinary collaboration, internal coordination, external communication, problem solving, decision-making support, productivity management, financial control, and risk management. Following the initiatives set forth in Construction Industry Council (CIC)’s roadmap of the implementation of BIM in Hong Kong’s construction industry. CIC has decided to champion the key driver of the implementation – construction project clients – by facilitating them to work out their implementation strategies in their organisations / companies. On this basis, the CIC has engaged Stanford University’s Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE) to offer this unique BIM implementation strategies summit tailored for project clients from government, public and private developers in the construction industry.
