Connecting, Nurturing, Creating for Sustainable Environment

Inaugural Zero Carbon Building Conference
Event Date: 15 Oct 2015
Venue: ZCB, 8 Sheung Yuet Road

Business Environment Council is pleased to be a supporting organisation of Inaugural Zero Building Conference that is organised by Zero Carbon Building.

About the Conference

Hong Kong, characterised by its sub-tropical climate and extremely high density living environment, faces unique challenges in reducing carbon emissions from buildings and in particular, high-rise buildings. Accounting for 90% of electricity consumption and 60% of greenhouse gas emissions, buildings in Hong Kong pose both a significant opportunity and challenge to achieving the carbon reduction target. The main objective of this will be for renowned international and local experts to share with the local audience the knowledge capacity of today and insights into the future needs in decarbonising high-rise buildings in subtropical and high density cities.  The related issues and challenges of context, policy, practice, market, technology, human perspectives, and so on, will be examined and discussed.

Decarbonising High-rise Buildings in Subtropical and High Density Cities

Who Should Attend

Architects, engineers, surveyors, planners, scientists, students and practitioners from Government, public authorities, universities, consultants, contractors, developers, property management companies and suppliers
