About the Programme
It is becoming evident that if we are to make sustainable development a reality, we will need to manage environmental, social and governance risks and challenges not only in our own operations but across the value chain. Increasingly, businesses are realising that there is opportunity and reward in managing sustainability in the supply chain, where many companies have their most significant impacts on the environment and society.
Dexter Galvin, Global Head of Supply Chain at CDP, will talk about sustainability in supply chains and give an introduction to CDP’s supply chain programme. We invite sustainability and procurement professionals and companies interested in gathering environmental information from their suppliers relating to climate change and/or water to join this informal session. Participants will learn how CDP’s supply chain programme could help them to better understand risks and to reduce emissions and/or promote corporate water stewardship within their supply chain.
Mr. Ronnie Tham, Director of Global Sourcing at Walmart will share his experience in responsible sourcing and his leadership in other social and environmental compliance programs at Walmart.
