Speaker: Ir Dr Roger Ng
About the speaker: Ir Dr Roger Ng is currently serving as the Principal Lecturer and Project Manager of the Engineering Discipline In-service Training Office at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE). He holds a PhD and is both a Chartered Engineer and a Registered Professional Engineer. With over 20 years of teaching experience in Building Services Engineering, he has been actively involved in curriculum development, professional training and industry collaboration. His expertise spans building services systems design, energy efficiency and engineering practice, with a strong commitment to bridging academic knowledge and practical application. Roger’s research interests focus primarily on lighting, including lighting design, performance evaluation and energy-efficient lighting systems. He is particularly interested in advancing sustainable lighting solutions and promoting best practices in the built environment. Through his academic leadership and professional engagement, he continues to contribute to the development of engineering education and the advancement of lighting and building services engineering.
