Mr John Haffner Based in Hong Kong, John Haffner is General Manager - Sustainability, Hang Lung Properties Ltd., where he is responsible for formulating the Group-wide sustainability strategy and driving its execution. John has more than two decades of experience in cleantech, infrastructure and sustainability, including past work experience in mainland China, Southeast Asia and Japan. Prior to joining Hang Lung, he led his own sustainability and infrastructure consultancy, was a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong, led business development in Asia for a renewable energy company, and worked in strategic planning at one of the largest power generators in North America. A 2008 World Fellow at Yale University, John’s education includes two law degrees from McGill University, where he has also co-taught a seminar on Climate Change and Energy Law. He has more than 20 publications on the environment, energy and international affairs, and is proficient in Mandarin.

Mr Peter Lee Mr Lee is the General Manager, Sustainability of the Airport Authority. He supports, guides and advises the Authority on the formulation and implementation of long-term sustainability strategies. He also leads and manages all environmental matters related to the planning and implementation of the Expansion of the Hong Kong International Airport into a Three-Runway System, which is to maintain Hong Kong as an international aviation hub at the heart of Asia Pacific region. Before joining the Airport Authority in June 2012, Mr Lee has over 20 years’ experience in environmental and engineering consultancy, leading and managing the EIA studies for a number of major infrastructure and urban development projects such as Kai Tak Development, Integrated Waste Management Facilities, Harbour Area Treatment Scheme Stage 2A, Deep Bay Link, and so on. Mr Lee is a founding fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals and the Secretary General of the Marine Ecology Enhancement Fund and the Fisheries Enhancement Fund.

Mr Wallace Lam Mr Wallace Lam is DBS Bank’s Managing Director and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking Group, Hong Kong. He joined the bank in Sep 2021. Mr Lam is responsible for managing and growing the bank’s franchise in the large corporate and mid-cap businesses in Hong Kong, as well as overseeing the strategic advisory and syndicated finance business. Before joining DBS Hong Kong, Wallace was the Head of Corporate, Commercial Banking, Hong Kong at HSBC. With over 26 years of experience with HSBC, Wallace has held various senior management positions, including Head of High Yield Capital Markets for Asia-Pacific, Head of Client Coverage for Commercial Banking in China and Co-Head of Global Banking in Hong Kong. Wallace graduated from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, USA, with a double emphases in Finance and Marketing.

Ms Ivy Lee Ivy is the Managing Director of Leigh & Orange (L&O) overseeing L&O’s business development and operations in Hong Kong, China, SE Asia and the Middle East. She joined the firm in 1998 having obtained a 1st Class Honours degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Shortly afterwards, in 2001 she became a Registered Architect and later she was elected as a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects. Sustainability is a key part of Ivy's holistic approach to design, supported with personal qualifications in environmentally friendly sustainable design, having both LEED AP and BEAM Pro qualifications. She is also a pro bono director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council and Chairperson of the BEAM Society Limited. Ivy has a natural ebullience for architecture, art and literature – pursuits she balances whilst contributing to the community by serving in several key community services and government advisory roles in the Planning Department, Housing Authority and the Environment Bureau. L&O is an international architectural firm headquartered in Hong Kong with almost 150 years of history. L&O have played a significant and continued role in shaping the design community and over the past 10 years under Ivy's design leadership, L&O have completed many award-winning buildings and masterplans throughout Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Mr Roberto Giannetta Roberto Giannetta has 30+ years of service in the shipping industry. Having served as director of system development, financial controller, executive director, and now Chairman for shipping agreements and associations, he has a vast cross-reference of knowledge in shipping practices across Asia. As Chairman of the Hong Kong Liner Shipping Association, Roberto represents the interests of container liner principals on numerous industry and governmental organizations (including APEC Shipping Port Network Security, Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board, Article Number Association, and others) covering operational, safety, environmental, regulatory, trade, and policy matters vis-à-vis government and industry stakeholders. With a board of directors comprising CEO and MD level representatives from major shipping lines serving trades to/from Asia and the rest of the world, Roberto has a well-guided understanding of shipping liner needs, objectives, and environment.

Moderator
Ms Grace Kwok Grace is a seasoned sustainability professional with more than 20 years’ experiences in sustainable design and green building projects in Hong Kong, China and across Asia-Pacific. With environmental engineering background, Grace is a keen advocate of regenerative sustainability for the built environment. She is currently a member of the Council for Sustainable Development, Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council, Director of Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals and Founding Vice President of Greater Bay Area Carbon Neutrality Association. Outside Hong Kong, she led AEC Group to become WorldGBC’s Asia Pacific Net Zero Collaborator, and shares best practices through her roles in the LEED Technical Advisory Group, BRE ESG Advisors Club, IWBI Health Equity Advisory, and GRESB Real Estate Standards Committee. Driven by a vision to shape a sustainable future for all, Grace works with building and other sectors through ESG and Green Finance advisory to build climate resilience and accelerate net-zero transition.
