The Mills
BEC and The Mills Fabrica jointly bring you an industry visit to The Mills (南豐紗廠), one of the heritage and revitalisation projects in Hong Kong. Join us on 5 August (Friday) to experience a destination combining a business incubator, experiential retail, a non-profit cultural institution, and the Hong Kong story.
In this visit, you will learn about the reinvention of the former Nan Fung cotton-spinning factories into The Mills, and the transformation of Tsuen Wan's textile past into a Techstyle future of wearables and smart fabric. The Mills witnessed the manufacturing heyday in the 1960s, and now carries on that legacy with a future of applied creativity and innovation.
Visit Highlights
- The sustainability elements and historic attractions of The Mills
- The 3 pillars of The Mills
- The Mills Shopfloor: an experiential shopping destination integrated with sustainable elements, where you will find the unique Garment-to Garment (G2G) Recycle System, a mini-scale production line recycling post-consumer garment to a new one.

- Centre for Heritage Arts & Textile (CHAT): a non-profit arts and cultural institution, where themes of textile and industry are woven into experiences of innovation, culture, and learning.
