Mr Joshua Wong Joshua leads the corporate responsibility and sustainability function at HSH, the owner and operator of the iconic Peninsula Hotels, luxury commercial and residential properties. As sustainability adviser to the CEO, his role is to prepare all HSH operations for a sustainable and inclusive transition through the company’s “Sustainable Luxury Vision 2030” strategy, and manage ESG-related risks and disclosures. He champions numerous group initiatives covering topics of climate change, sustainable building, circular economy, responsible sourcing, animal welfare, modern slavery, diversity and inclusion, and social inequality.

Ms Mehvesh Mumtaz Ahmed Mehvesh Mumtaz Ahmed is global head of social impact for the Rosewood Hotel Group. She is in charge of leading, developing and executing global strategy to help achieve the group’s vision of becoming a business-with-purpose that impacts everyone’s lives. Mehvesh has extensive experience across the private, public and social sectors. Prior to Rosewood, Mehvesh was leading insights and strategy on CSR, philanthropy, impact investment and sustainability across 18 Asian economies. She has also worked for the New York City government under Mayor Bloomberg, and for the World Bank and the United Nations. Mehvesh engages with policymakers, business leaders and practitioners to escalate system change. She also disseminates thought leadership on strategic social investment on various platforms, including print and broadcast media.

Ms Gigi Lau Gigi has been in the food industry for over 10 years, from working in high street restaurant group to now corporate catering services. As the Head of Marketing and Sustainability at Compass Group in Hong Kong, she takes great ownership in building better communication channels to actively promote Compass’s Social Purpose strategy which builds around People, Safety, and Sustainability to all the stakeholders.

Ms Peggy Chan In 2012, Peggy opened Grassroots Pantry (GP) in Hong Kong with a mission to raise awareness of the inequities in our food system and to share knowledge on the benefits of whole food plant-based cuisine. Through conducting Zero Foodprint’s life-cycle assessment, GP became carbon neutral in 2018 and its first sustainability report was recognized by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals ESCAP as a best practice case study on sustainable sourcing and responsible management. Over the years Peggy has emerged as one of the region’s most authoritative voices on organic sourcing and systems thinking design. In 2020, Peggy developed Grassroots Initiatives Consultancy to assist foodservice professionals in their transition towards best practices that meet both human and planetary health goals. Last year, she launched Zero Foodprint Asia to rapidly mobilize research, education and funding from the food and hospitality sector for agricultural climate solutions.

Mr Benson Lam Benson is the Director of Sustainability of Century City and Regal Hotels Group, one of the largest hotel operators in Hong Kong. Benson also as the Director to champion two new sustainability initiatives for the group - AlphaTrio Capital (Venture Capital for Impact Investing) and Institute of Sustainability and Technology (an ESG education Institute). He also supports the establishment of #1st Green Metropolis in the Sandbox Metaverse. Together, we aim to build a collaborative ecosystem of likeminded partners co-creating a progressive green movement to inspire decarbonisation and behavioural changes in the consumer and business communities. Benson teaches CSR, ESG and Entrepreneurship in the University of Hong Kong, also work as Research Associate of the Hong Kong Institute of Economics and Business Strategy (HIEBS). Benson holds Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA®) by The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies. He is passionate and skilled in political economy & investment analysis, public & community affairs, ESG & sustainable development.

Ms Sindy Wong Ms Sindy Wong is Head, Tourism and Hospitality of Invest Hong Kong, the government department responsible for attracting and facilitating foreign direct investment into Hong Kong. She joined Invest Hong Kong in September 2004 and was promoted to Head of Tourism and Hospitality in 2015. Her team attracts companies from HoReCa, travel, MICE, wellness, beauty industries globally. Prior to joining Invest Hong Kong, Ms Wong worked in multinational advertising agency, entertainment group, Hong Kong Tourism Board and banking industry. Ms Wong has a bachelor's degree in arts from The University of Hong Kong and is a Certified Financial Planner. She speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese. She is an animal lover and enjoys bringing new dining and beauty concepts to Hong Kong which is not only her passion for life but mission for Hong Kong!
