“Victoria Harbour 2035: Destinations to Rejuvenate Hong Kong”, a design competition co-organised by Harbour Business Forum (“HBF”) and Business Environment Council Limited (“BEC”), is now open for registration.
Engaging the next generations as future custodians of our harbourfront, “Victoria Harbour 2035: Destinations to Rejuvenate Hong Kong” Competition aims to encourage and collect input to the strategic visioning of the harbourfront and solicit students’ aspirations for the future of Hong Kong. The competition also serves as a platform for students to meet future potential employers and gain valuable real-life project experience, while raising the profile of harbourfront issues among businesses, citizens, media and public authorities.
Current students and recent graduates of Hong Kong’s universities are eligible for the competition to propose designs for one of the five catchment sites identified, including Hung Hom and Tsim Sha Tsui East Harbourfront, Central Harbourfront Ferry Terminals, Kai Tak/ Kwun Tong Harbourfront, Kennedy Town and Belcher Bay Promenade, and Chai Wan Basin. Two mentors will be assigned to each team consisting of four to six members to provide guidance on each catchment.
The competition is judged by an esteemed panel of industry experts selected by HBF, BEC, and Harbourfront Commission. Registration is now open at https://forms.gle/op7Cv4CTCvLE5Wys6 until 30 November 2023. Please refer to the Competition Brief (https://bit.ly/3JqkYUM) for further details.
