BEC is running a project which aims to reduce the energy consumption for over 100 primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. The scope of work shall include energy-efficient retrofitting works, school engagement programme and BEAM Plus Existing Schools certification. We are now looking for a passionate candidate to join our team to help execute this exciting and impactful project.
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and liaise with participating schools and contractors to provide advice for the technical issues of energy-efficient retrofitting works to enhance energy-efficiency performance
- Coordinate with the participating schools and the retrofitting works contractors for the exact works schedules, conduct site inspections and arrange meetings with the schools representatives
- Prepare materials for meetings, proposals and other submissions / presentations as needed
- Review technical and engineering submissions from vendors
- Conduct energy-cum-carbon audits
- Prepare for BEAM Plus Existing Schools submissions
- Provide administrative and other supports to the Project
- Assist other team members in delivering projects, helping to ensure quality deliverables by the team while meeting the timeline
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary
Requirements:
- Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or Environmental related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental related disciplines
- Good report writing and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
- Experience in proposal and report writing preferred
- Able to work independently
- Proven organisational and multi-tasking skills, attention to detail and capacity to deliver in a timely manner
- Self-motivated, a good team-player, good problem-solving skills, flexible and able to work under pressure
- Well-organised with good interpersonal and communications skills
- Candidate with less experience may be considered for the position of Project Officer
