Hong Kong, 16 April 2018 - Business Environment Council Limited 商界環保協會有限公司 (“BEC”) will host its flagship event, the EnviroSeries Conference on Wednesday, 23 May 2018. With the theme of “The Greater Bay Area – Leveraging Opportunities for Hong Kong in the Transition towards Sustainability”, the Conference will serve as a platform for policy makers, industry experts, business leaders and academics to exchange views in exploring how Hong Kong can make the most of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area initiative to help the area become a world-class, low-carbon economic hub which benefits Hong Kong businesses.
Hong Kong SAR Government, in its latest Policy Address and Budget stated that it will actively participate in the development of the Greater Bay Area to create favourable conditions that assist Hong Kong people and enterprises to capitalise on the unique advantages of Hong Kong in the Bay Area. In this EnviroSeries Conference, panels will explore ways for Hong Kong businesses to play a role which effectively enhances the quality of life and sustainable development of the cities in the Greater Bay Area and how they can strengthen their competitiveness through green and low-carbon methods of production and operation. The sectors which the conference will focus on are Finance, Transportation and Logistics, Waste Management, and Property Development/Management.
