“Towngas Green and Healthy Cooking” Training and Microfilm Competition

With the support from Towngas, this year’s BEC Low Carbon School Microfilm Competition focuses on “green and healthy cooking”, aiming to enhance public awareness towards leading low-carbon healthy life. Teams from secondary schools are invited to submit 5-minute films under the theme to take part in the competition by early January next year.

To better prepare the students for the competition, a cooking class was conducted by Pauline Wong from Towngas Cooking Centre on 5 November morning.  After having demonstrated to 15 students and a teacher cooking of healthy cuisines, such as assorted vegetables soup, potato pancake, zoodles with peppers and chicken fillets, and bread pudding, Ms Wong guided the students to try on cooking the simpler dishes. Earlier in October, a 6-hour videography class was also arranged for over 50 students from 11 schools. The class helped equip them with the know-how for producing a creative microfilm to promote low-carbon and healthy lifestyle.
