BEC’s Low Carbon Hong Kong Project seeks to support business in playing a leadership role in achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, with regard to the themes of Targets, Timelines, Transparency and Together.
Setting meaningful Science Based Targets and clear commitments is an important task. Efforts worldwide are led by the Science-based Targets initiative a partnership between CDP, UN Global Compact, WRI and WWF, which helps companies determine how much they must cut emissions to prevent the worst impacts of climate change. Over 160 globally significant companies have committed to set Science Based Targets with climate positive impacts across their supply chains.
BEC has invited Mr Gareth Johnston and Ms Laura Pitkin, of CDP, to support us in facilitating a workshop to familiarise businesses with methodologies to help you putting these targets in place and implement action. For further information please visit: https://www.cdp.net/en-US/Pages/commit-to-action.aspx.
