BEC Spring Cocktail

Over 60 participants enjoyed great wine and gourmet with BEC board directors and members at the BEC Spring Cocktail on 17 February 2011, which was also known as Yuan Xiao in Chinese Lunar calendar.
BEC’s Chairman, Professor John Chai, introduced the transformation of the Jockey Club Environmental Building, which will become an Environmental Education Centre for the community. He also explained that the peach flowers and mandarins at the party all carry the meanings of sustainability.

The Spring Cocktail revolves around the theme of sustainability: Our CEO, Dr Andrew Thomson, presented the Yuanxiao prize to three guests – each of them got two tickets of EnviroSeries Conference: Sustainability Leadership Forum – Integrating Technology and People to Lead Hong Kong Beyond 2020 (25 March 2011).
