Hong Kong, 22 April 2020 - Business Environment Council Limited 商界環保協會有限公司 (“BEC”) held its Annual General Meeting on 21 April 2020 and announced the election of its Board of Directors for the new term from 2020 to 2022. Mr Richard Lancaster was re-elected as the Chairman.

“It is my honour to serve BEC as Board Chairman for the third term. On behalf of the Board, I would like to express my gratitude to all retired Board Directors for their support and contributions during the past two years, and extend a warm welcome to the new Directors joining us.” BEC Chairman Mr Richard Lancaster said.

“With climate change being one of our key new environmental focus areas, BEC launched the ‘Low Carbon Charter’ last year, a first of its kind initiative in Hong Kong which specifically responds to the Paris Agreement. To date, 64 leading companies have signed to commit to work towards setting decarbonisation targets for their operations. Moving forward, BEC will continue to leverage its extensive experience to engage with our members, the broader business community, the government and our partners, both locally and internationally, to advocate for sustainability development in Hong Kong.” Mr Lancaster added.
