Hong Kong Institute of Planners (“HKIP”) has recently presented the proposal on developing tram and pedestrian precinct in Des Veoux Road Central. This proposal comes across a broad range of environmental issues from air quality, greening and sustainability, with the aim to enhance the image of central business district in Hong Kong.
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Peter Cookson Smith of HKIP, Dr. Zhi Ning of City University of Hong Kong and Mr. Chapman Lam of MVA Hong Kong Limited to speak in the event to analyze the existing conditions in Central in terms of air quality, transport and urban design. The speakers will also share the suggestions to improve the situation. This event provides opportunities to BEC members and business community to actively engage in the discussion and express opinions on the ideas and recommendations stated in this proposal.
