BEC has invited Mr Eric Ma, Secretary for Development and Ms Phyllis Li, Deputy Director of Planning/Territorial to join this Policy Dialogue Series, and provide our members with the first hand briefing on the development policies set out in the Policy Address and the territorial development strategy plan proposed in Hong Kong 2030+, as well as exchange views and opinions with BEC Board Directors and the wider audience.

Mr Eric Ma, Secretary for Development and Ms Phyllis Li, Deputy Director of Planning/Territorial will join this Policy Dialogue Series to provide members and others with first hand briefing on the development policies set out in the Policy Address 2017 and the territorial development strategic plan known as Hong Kong 2030+. They will exchange views and engage in a dialogue with BEC Board Directors and the wider audience.

Hong Kong 2030+ is the Government’s vision, policy and strategy for the development of Hong Kong beyond 2030. It is now subject to a public consultation. This Policy Dialogue Series offers an exciting opportunity for businesses to feed in their views on the strategic direction of the territory.
  • How can we make best use of our landspace whilst protecting our natural environment?
  • How can we ensure a sustainable, green, and resilient city?
  • What are the business opportunities by being within the dynamic Pearl River Delta (PRD) in relation to environmental industries?
  • How can we shape our local environment to make it fit for an ageing population?
  • How can we make Hong Kong an attractive place to live and work?
These are just some of the questions for consideration. Please come along and join this important discussion and contribute your views.

  • Mr Eric Ma, Secretary for Development: on infrastructure and development plans and proposals (policies under the purview of the Development Bureau in the Policy Address)
     
  • Ms Phyllis Li, Deputy Director of Planning/Territorial: on Hong Kong 2030+ and how it takes on board  environmental considerations and sustainable development
     
  • Mrs Margaret Brooke, BEC Board of Director and Chief Executive Officer of Professional Property Services Limited: looking at how we can enhance the strategic plan from a people-centric, livability perspective.
  • Mr Ricky Liu, Vice President, Building Technologies of Siemens Limited: bringing a smart city perspective to the discussion.
