The Road Transport Dialogue Platform is a Business Environment Council ("BEC") initiative backed by our Transport & Logistics Advisory Group, which is supported by the Environment Bureau (ENB) as well as Transport and Housing Bureau (THB). This platform is being set up for those companies who own, manage or otherwise control fleets of vehicles (e.g. buses, trucks, vans) to come together and develop a way forward to reduce carbon and other air pollutants. Its aim is to enable dialogue within the business sector but also to support impactful action.

Supporting the Transition to Electric and Hybrid Commercial Vehicles & Buses

The Road Transport Dialogue Platform is a Business Environment Council ("BEC") initiative backed by our Transport & Logistics Advisory Group, which is supported by the Environment Bureau (ENB) as well as Transport and Housing Bureau (THB). This platform is being set up for those companies who own, manage or otherwise control fleets of vehicles (e.g. buses, trucks, vans) to come together and develop a way forward to reduce carbon and other air pollutants. Its aim is to enable dialogue within the business sector but also to support impactful action.

Meeting Agenda:

  1. Introductions and brief recap of the last meeting
  1. BEC presentation on the draft research paper on the benefits, challenges and potential solutions related to the transition to electric commercial vehicles in Hong Kong, followed by Q&A and discussions
  1. Transport-related Initiatives from the 2018 CE Policy Address
    (Presented by Mr CW Tse, Under Secretary for the Environment, and Dr Raymond So, Under Secretary for Transport and Housing)
  1. Next steps and focus of the next Dialogue Platform meeting
