Get Redressed Month 2026 is here to urge Hong Kongers to take action against clothing waste right now. Joining hands with companies, schools, and the public, let’s give clothes a new life and be inspired towards better habits of care for the clothes we keep, wear, and share.

An estimated 400+ tonnes of textiles are landfilled daily in Hong Kong* — equivalent to 17,000+ suitcases full of textiles tossed^!

During the month of May, we will have over 160 public and private (e.g. school, company) clothing collection points available for you to drop off your unwanted clothing (Public points can be found here). All the clothing collected throughout May will then be carefully sorted during Hong Kong’s largest sorting event – Sort-a-Thon.
 
The clothes will be sorted for reuse by local charity partners (50-60%), downcycling (20-30%), and resale by Redress as secondhand clothing (10-15%). 
 
The remaining 1-4% (which is usually trash, torn paper bags, etc) will go to landfill.
