Following the latest Policy Address to be issued on 25 Oct 2023, BEC hosted a dialogue session for members to exchange views with the Government. This dialogue session aimed to share the Government’s latest ideas related to climate and environment, and allowed business to raise crucial topics such as sectoral decarbonisation, financing transition, climate-related data disclosure, resilience, and adaptation etc. By gathering diverse perspectives, we hoped to foster an in-depth conversation with the Government on transitioning to a net-zero economy that incorporates the expectations of the business sector.
BEC was pleased to have Miss Diane Wong, Under Secretary for Environment and Ecology as our guest of honour. Miss Diane Wong joined with BEC Members and Board Directors for the discussion on the latest development of environmental related policies and city-wide decarbonisation action plan.
