Opening in late 2023, Nina Park is a unique new destination in Hong Kong, occupying around 70,000 sq. ft. It features innovative technologies and spatial design, showcasing the largest collection of wood fossils among urban parks in Asia. These fossils were all gathered by the late Mrs. Nina Wang, the Group founder of Chinachem Group.
BEC organised two exclusive visits for BEC members on 31 January (Wednesday) at 10:30 am and 3:00pm. During the visit, participants learned about the special conditions that led to fossilised tree trunks turning to stone, as well as the amazing process of petrification that requires water, volcano ash and millions of years of patience. The Park also showcases several sustainability features including foot floor panel system, smart bench with digital display and sensors, recharge bike and solar panel system.
