Together with Swire Properties, BEC is pleased to present a biodiversity tour of Taikoo Square on 11 April 2025. Swire Properties is committed to creating vibrant and sustainable communities through its placemaking work, with biodiversity as a key focus area of the Company’s SD 2030 strategy. These commitments are well manifested in the master landscape plan for Swire Properties’ flagship development, Taikoo Place.
The redevelopment of Taikoo Place has introduced a new green oasis in Quarry Bay district, featuring 70,000 sq ft of open green space and over 260 native and exotic plant species. These enhancements promote urban biodiversity, facilitate wildlife movement and connect people with nature. The open green space, which includes Taikoo Square and Taikoo Garden, showcases a forward-thinking landscape designed by world renowned landscape architect Kathryn Gustafson.
