BEC Circular Economy Advisory Group
Mission:
The BEC Circular Economy ("CE") Advisory Group is focused on promoting principles of circularity throughout value chains, emphasising waste prevention and reduction, resource efficiency, and the development of circular business models and enabling policies. The CE Advisory Group assists businesses in navigating upcoming Producer Responsibility Scheme ("PRS") requirements for materials such as plastics, batteries for electric vehicles, and tires. It is also instrumental in developing corporate strategies aimed at waste reduction and resource efficiency, particularly in light of the recent deferral of municipal solid waste ("MSW") charging. The group advocates for circular solutions across vital sectors in Hong Kong, including construction, food and beverage, and textiles, while sharing best practices in eco-design to foster sustainable business practices.
